Dear Friend in the Lord,
Consolation in Jesus: In today’s Gospel, Jesus exclaimed, “Come to me, all you who are overburdened; . . . I will give you rest for your souls.” Ponder on, “Are there pain and trials that are threatening to envelop you without hope? If so, turn to Jesus; He is our sure Light and Consolation; He will never fail us.”

Jesus exclaimed: ‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
‘Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.’
