Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Be compassionate just as your Father is compassionate. Do not judge, and you will not be judged yourselves; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned yourselves; grant pardon and you will be pardoned..
‘Give, and there will be gifts for you: a full measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap; because the amount you measure out is the amount you will be given back.’

As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- No one is perfect except God. How often do we see the minor faults of others, but are blind more serious faults in ourselves. Do not judge others but look for the good in them.
- Today’s Gospel calls us to show greater generosity in our relationship with others; not only in financial matters but also in understanding, acceptance, compassion and forgiveness. The more generous we are with others the more we will receive in return.
- As Christians we are to remember God’s continual love for us even when we are at our worst. As disciples of Jesus we should radiate this merciful love and generosity especially to the marginalized.
