Dear Friend in the Lord,
“Value of Faith – Eternal Salvation”: In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaims to His disciples that children are weak and vulnerable; and are precious in God’s eyes. And, if we care for them, we will be greatly rewarded. But, if we mislead them in their faith, this would be a grave sin. Ponder on, “Do we take a child’s faith formation and the poor and needy for granted?”

Mark 9:41-42, 49-50
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘If anyone gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ, then in truth I tell you, he will most certainly not lose his reward. But anyone who is the downfall of one of these little ones who have faith, would be better thrown into the sea with a great millstone hung round his neck.
‘For everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is a good thing, but if salt has become insipid, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves and be at peace with one another.’
