About Fr Philip Heng, S.J
Fr Philip Heng, S.J. is a Singaporean Jesuit. His Jesuit formation were: Novitiate in Malaysia; Philosophy and Theology in the Jesuit run Ateneo the Manila University, Philippines; Ordained on 14 May, 1993. Appointed as: Novice Director (June 1996); Parish Priest of St Ignatius Church (1 April, 2009). Upon the Episcopal Ordination of Archbishop William Goh of Singapore on 18 May, 2013, he was appointed as the Vicar General for Administration, Ecumenical and Interreligious relations (7 years), and concurrently as the Rector of the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd (5 years) and Rector of St Joseph Church (Victoria St, for 3 years). His contractual tenure of services ended on 30th June, 2020 and was on Sabbatical leave till 30 June, 2021.
Fr Philip Heng left on 5th August 2021 to begin his new mission posting in East Timor.
