Daily Word Of God
Mark 16:15-18
Jesus showed himself to the Eleven and said to them, ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.
‘These are the signs that will be associated with believers: in my name they will cast out devils; they will have the gift of tongues; they will pick up snakes in their hands and be unharmed should they drink deadly poison; they will lay their hands on the sick, who will recover.’
Today's Pointers on God's Word
As you read the passage what words, phases or meanings caught your attention?
- As Christians, our mission is to go out to the whole world and proclaim the Good News of salvation to all peoples and to love one another as He has loved us.
- When St. Paul experienced the Risen Christ he committed himself to be a witness of the Resurrection for the rest of his life. This same Jesus continues to be alive in our midst.
- Ponder on the way you live your life. Have you experienced the Risen Christ’s Spirit in your life? When did you live and share your faith with others with joy or through the trials of your life?
