Luke 11:27-28

As Jesus was speaking, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said, ‘Blessed the womb that bore you and the breasts that fed you!’

But he replied, ‘More blessed still are those who hear the word of God and keep it!’

• A faithful disciple is one who hears and practises the Word of God. This is the demand of the Gospel of Christ.

 

• Mary is a perfect disciple of the Gospel.  She is “blessed” not only because she is the mother of Jesus, but also because she is most faithful of all the disciples of God.

 

• As Jesus’ disciple, how far are you prepared to listen and put into practise God’s Word in your daily living and of loving others?
