• Today the Church celebrates “World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly”. Let us first say a special prayer of gratitude to them for their deep love and selfless sacrifices that we received from them.

 

• The secular and materialistic world is losing its sense of the value to care and love for the elderly in our family and society. Our preoccupation is often sadly on how to look younger, live longer, become richer and other secular attractions.

 

• Grandparents and the elderly have much experiences and wisdom in life, even as they may not be ‘perfect’; who is? Do we show respect, love and care for them?
