Mark 3:31-35
The mother and brothers of Jesus arrived and, standing outside, sent in a message asking for him. A crowd was sitting round him at the time the message was passed to him, ‘Look, your mother and brothers and sisters are outside asking for you.’
He replied, ‘Who are my mother and my brothers?’ And looking at those sitting in a circle round him, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. Anyone who does the will of God, that person is my brother and sister and mother.’

- In today’s Gospel, Jesus teaches us that we too belong to Christ’s family if we live out God’s Will in our daily living.
- How is this possible? First, we need to open our hearts to God’s Holy Spirit that is within us to receive the insights, strength and direction to lead our lives in God’s ways. Second, we need to live in this way consciously and daily.
- We need many graces to persevere daily in God’s ways because it is not easy. So, pray to Mary our Mother to intercede for us. She is so closely united to her Son that she will teach us how to live God’s Will more fully.
